Deadletter, a Yorkshire indie band, has launched a crowdfunder after their gear and clothes were stolen from their van during a European tour. The band had been playing a string of dates in support of their second album, ‘Existence Is Bliss’. The theft occurred when their van was broken into outside a police station in Barcelona, with items taken including guitars, bass guitars, amps, and clothing.
The band has set up a GoFundMe campaign to help recover from the break-in, surpassing their £11,000 target with over £14,000 raised. They expressed gratitude for any donations, stating that help at this time would be ‘wholeheartedly appreciated’. The band is set to tour the UK, starting in a couple of weeks, and is seeking support to acquire the necessary equipment.
