The Kent singer, producer, and former NME 100 artist broke into the scene in 2022 with her Top Three single ‘Messy In Heaven’ and the accompanying mixtape ‘Zero Experience’ the following year. ‘Not My Day’ is a witty, stream-of-consciousness track that documents the mundane details of Venbee’s daily life, from not having enough money for a trolley in Asda to her card being declined at the checkout.
The track also namechecks Capaldi, who has shown his appreciation for the tune by posting a video of himself dancing to it on TikTok. Venbee, whose real name is Erin Doyle, spoke about the track, saying it was created during a time when she felt carefree and had nothing to lose after being dropped by her label.
