Nancy Sinatra has criticized Donald Trump for sharing footage of her father Frank Sinatra performing his iconic hit ‘My Way’. The US President posted a nearly four-minute-long clip on the Truth Social platform without any context, sparking speculation about its meaning. Nancy responded on X, calling it ‘a sacrilege’ and stating that the only people who can take action are the song’s publishers.
Nancy also shared comments from fans who pointed out that Frank Sinatra would not have agreed with Trump’s actions in office. This is not the first time Trump’s use of music has been controversial, as he has previously used songs by The Rolling Stones, Adele, and Neil Young without their permission. The Rolling Stones have objected to the use of their music in Trump rallies, and other artists like Prince’s estate, Foo Fighters, and Queen have also refused to allow their music to be used by Trump.
