The Rolling Stones are back with new music, confirming earlier rumors that emerged after mysterious posters appeared in London. The posters, which read ‘The Cockroaches’ along with a QR code, sparked speculation about the band’s plans. The Cockroaches is an alias the band has used in the past for secret shows. The QR code led to a website that read ‘Who The Fuck Are The Cockroaches?’ and an email from Universal Music, the band’s label, was sent out to those who signed up for updates.
The band has a new single on the way called ‘Rough And Twisted’, which will be released as a vinyl-only ‘white label’ on April 11. The song is said to feature an electric blues riff and a rambunctious harmonica solo from Mick Jagger. This new track is the first single from an upcoming album, set for release in July, which will be the band’s first since 2023’s ‘Hackney Diamonds’. Although the band is unlikely to announce a full tour soon, they have at least 10 songs written for another release after this upcoming record.
