Pophouse Entertainment, the company behind ABBA Voyage, has acquired a majority stake in Tina Turner’s music rights. The deal includes Turner’s artist share of recordings, music publishing writer’s share, neighboring rights, and name, image, and likeness rights. BMG retains a significant minority stake, while Warner Music Group remains the owner of Turner’s master recording catalog.
Tina Turner, a legendary singer and songwriter, has sold over 180 million albums and won 12 Grammys. Pophouse CEO Jessica Koravos aims to create new experiences based on Turner’s live shows, particularly her solo career. With this acquisition, Pophouse plans to develop tech-forward, immersive experiences, building on its partnership with BMG and its expertise in creating innovative entertainment technologies.
