Peter Frampton is set to release his first album of original music in 16 years, titled ‘Carry the Light’, on May 15. The album features collaborations with notable artists such as Sheryl Crow, H.E.R., and Tom Morello. The first single, ‘Buried Treasure’, is a tribute to Tom Petty and was released on the day of the album announcement.
The album is a special project for Frampton, who co-wrote and produced it with his son Julian. Other featured artists include Graham Nash, Benmont Tench, and saxophonist Bill Evans. This new project marks Frampton’s first full-length album since his induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2024 and his first proper album since ‘Thank You Mr. Churchill’ in 2010.
