In a new post, the singer aired his frustrations, stating that hopeful artists are turned into ‘wolves of Wall Street’ and that creatives discard meaningful relationships for bigger opportunities. He questioned the industry, asking who said it was normal to turn music into business transactions.
Labrinth’s post received support from other artists, including India.Arie and Lauren Jauregui. This is not the first time Labrinth has spoken out against the industry, having previously slammed his record label and HBO series Euphoria in a now-deleted post. The British singer has worked as the lead score producer for Euphoria since its beginning and has released music under Columbia, a Sony-owned label, since 2019.
