Amanda Bynes is making her music comeback with the track ‘Girlfriend’, her first new music in three years. The single, set to release on April 10, will be her first since 2022’s ‘Diamonds’. Bynes revealed that her inspiration for the new music was a lot of EDM, as well as rap. Her label, Create Music Group, described ‘Girlfriend’ as a blend of melodic rap with EDM-inspired production, creating a catchy and high-replay record.
Bynes rose to stardom in the 1990s with Nickelodeon shows and later pivoted to film acting. However, her career declined in the 2010s due to mental health issues and substance abuse. After successfully terminating her conservatorship in 2022, Bynes is now prioritizing her well-being and making a comeback to music. The new single, featuring Fenix Flexin, is designed for repeat listens and wide playlist appeal, tapping into a familiar L.A. sound while staying fresh and accessible.
