Lil Wayne has expressed his feelings about not being invited to major music events like Coachella and the Grammy Awards. The rap icon took to social media to share his thoughts, stating that it’s a ‘humbling experience’ to be consistently left out of such events. He wrote, ‘It’s truly a humbling experience when events like Coachella & the Grammys come around & like clockwork, I’m uninvited & uninvolved.’ Wayne’s post resonated with Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst, who offered his support and suggested starting their own event to welcome those who have been overlooked.
Durst replied, ‘Let’s start our own experience gathering and our own acknowledgment event to welcome all of the uninvited.’ This isn’t the first time Lil Wayne has spoken out about being snubbed by major music events. Last year, he claimed the NFL ‘fucked up’ by not inviting him to play the Super Bowl Halftime Show in his hometown of New Orleans, instead choosing Kendrick Lamar. The incident led to a brief feud between Wayne and Lamar, but the two have since made amends over a phone call.
