Robert Plant has been named this year’s Record Store Legend ahead of Record Store Day 2026. The 19th instalment of RSD will take place on April 18, celebrating independent record shops and vinyl culture in the UK with over 300 stores participating. Exclusive physical releases from artists like Charli XCX, Muse, and David Bowie will be available on a first-come-first-served basis.
Plant, the former Led Zeppelin frontman, expressed his appreciation for record stores, stating they have always been a part of his life. He will also be releasing his EP ‘Saving Grace: All That Glitters’ for RSD26. With vinyl sales at their highest level in 20 years, this year’s Record Store Day is expected to be a significant event, featuring releases from numerous artists and supporting the charity partner War Child.
