Jack Black and Jack White joined forces on Saturday Night Live for an epic rendition of The White Stripes’ ‘Seven Nation Army’. This was Black’s fifth time hosting SNL, and he was welcomed into the Five-Timers Club by veteran hosts Tina Fey, Jonah Hill, Candice Bergen, and Melissa McCarthy. White made a surprise appearance during the monologue, with Hill introducing him as ‘Professor Snape’. The musician joked about his brief stay, citing the limited parking validation for five-time musical guests.
Black then launched into a rendition of ‘Seven Nation Army’, with White joining on guitar. The duo improvised new lyrics, singing about the ‘five-timer army’ and ‘the Black and White’. White also served as the traditional musical guest, performing his new songs ‘G.O.D. And The Broken Ribs’ and ‘Derecho Demonico’. The musician is set to embark on a European tour later this year, with dates starting in Latvia on May 30 and ending in Belgium on June 17.
