The 2026 Grammy Hall of Fame Gala has added George Clinton, Heart, Lucinda Williams, and Take 6 to its list of performers. The event, taking place on May 8 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, will also feature previously announced performer Norah Jones, who will receive the Ray Charles Architect of Sound Award. The gala will honor 14 titles spanning nearly a century of recorded music, including works by 2Pac, Selena, Radiohead, and Janet Jackson.
The Grammy Hall of Fame was established to honor recordings released before the Grammy Awards began in 1959. A special member committee selects the recordings to be inducted based on their qualitative or historical significance. This year’s inductees include Pink Moon by Nick Drake, Maggot Brain by Funkadelic, and Dreamboat Annie by Heart. The Recording Academy’s CEO, Harvey Mason Jr., stated that it’s a privilege to recognize these influential recordings and celebrate the artists and communities behind them.
