Johnny Blue Skies & the Dark Clouds, the alter ego of Sturgill Simpson, has announced an arena tour following the successful debut of their album ‘Mutiny After Midnight’ at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. The ‘Mutiny for the Masses’ tour will kick off on September 4 in Austin, Texas, and will visit 29 cities before concluding on October 30 in Lexington, Kentucky. Notably, there will be no opening act for the tour.
The album ‘Mutiny After Midnight’ debuted strongly, moving 59,000 units in its first week and becoming the first physical-only release to debut in the top 10 in almost three years. It also topped Billboard’s Top Rock & Alternative Albums, Top Rock Albums, and Americana/Folk Albums charts. The tour dates include stops in major cities such as Chicago, Nashville, and New York City, promising an exciting experience for fans of Johnny Blue Skies & the Dark Clouds.
