Bob Dylan has surprised his fans by launching a Patreon account, dubbed ‘Lectures From the Grave’, which offers exclusive content for a monthly fee of $5. The account currently features six posts, including an embedded video of a Mahalia Jackson performance, audio essays read by an AI voice, and a series titled ‘Letters Never Sent’. One of the posts is a fictional letter written by Mark Twain to Rudolph Valentino, while another is a short story titled ‘Bull Rider’.
The move has left many of Dylan’s fans baffled, particularly given the use of AI in many of the posts. Despite the confusion, Dylan is set to continue his ‘Rough And Rowdy Ways’ tour, with the next show scheduled for March 30 at Waukegan’s Genesee Theatre. The legendary singer-songwriter has been making headlines recently, including paying tribute to Shane MacGowan with a cover of ‘A Rainy Night In Soho’ and working on new music with members of his band.
