BTS’ latest album, ‘ARIRANG’, has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, marking the group’s seventh leader. The album earned 641,000 equivalent album units in its first week, with 532,000 coming from pure album sales. This is the largest week for an album by a group since the chart began measuring by units in December 2014.
ARIRANG’s success follows BTS’ previous No. 1 albums, including ‘Proof’, ‘BE’, and ‘MAP OF THE SOUL : 7’. The album’s release was accompanied by a global live Netflix special and a performance on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ is set to launch next month, with dates in the US, Mexico, and overseas.
