KADOKAWA CORPORATION has announced the winners of the MyAnimeList x Honeyfeed Writing Contest 2025, with one Grand Prize winner and two Contest Winners Prize recipients selected from a total of 1,240 entries. The Grand Prize winner, ‘Isekai’d with my dog, I’m not the hero?!’ by Frettiko, stood out for its catchy premise and comedic moments, and will receive a cash award of USD 5,000 and publication in Japan. The two Contest Winners Prize recipients, ‘HR in Another World: Building the Strongest Parties with my Appraisal Skill’ by Kaorin and ‘Drinking Buddies: Hangover in Another World’ by Literate_Manul, will each receive a cash award of USD 3,000 and revision for publication in Japan.
The contest, which aimed to discover exceptional storytelling talent from around the world, was held on Honeyfeed, a novel submission platform operated by qdopp. The winning works were selected through a rigorous process, with initial voting by Honeyfeed users and volunteers, followed by final judging by Aneko Yusagi, author of The Rising of the Shield Hero, and editors from KADOKAWA. The contest is part of KADOKAWA’s Global UGC Publishing Project, which aims to discover global talent from international novel submission platforms and publish their works in Japan and abroad.
