Tommy Shelby’s journey in Peaky Blinders comes to a close with the movie sequel Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, directed by Tom Harper. The film is a continuation of the Peaky Blinders series, which ended after six seasons in 2022. The movie follows Tommy Shelby as he faces his most destructive reckoning yet amidst the chaos of World War II. Cillian Murphy returns in the lead role, alongside Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Sophie Rundle, Barry Keoghan, and Stephen Graham.
Although there are no plans for a sequel to the movie, a new Peaky Blinders series is in development from Netflix and the BBC. The untitled series, consisting of two six-episode seasons, will pick up after the events of Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man and follow the next generation of the Shelby family in Birmingham in 1953. The series, helmed by original creator Steven Knight, began filming in March 2026, but a release date has yet to be announced.
