Police are investigating chants of ‘death to the IDF’ allegedly made by Bobby Vylan, frontman of the British punk-rap duo Bob Vylan, at a protest in London. The Metropolitan Police stated they are aware of the chanting and will be investigating. The incident occurred during the Al-Quds Day protest, a pro-Palestinian event, where hundreds of people attended and waved Iranian flags.
Videos on social media appear to show Vylan leading the crowd in the chants. The police have confirmed 12 arrests were made during the demonstration for various offenses. This is not the first time Bob Vylan has been involved in controversy, having led similar chants at Glastonbury 2025, which was subject to a criminal investigation that was ultimately dropped. The Metropolitan Police have recognized the concern this language causes, particularly within London’s Jewish communities.
